He Was Raised By 3 Gay Parents and Thought 'I Never Want to Be a Christian.' Then, a Bible Study Changed Everything

Caleb Kaltenbach grew up with three gay parents and his family experienced hate and anger from many of the Christians they encountered.

The cultural clash was so intense that he found himself saying, "I never want to be a Christian."

But one day he attended a Bible study in an effort to try and disprove scripture — and was in for a major surprise: he became a Christian with traditional views on marriage.

Now Kaltenbach, a former pastor who has a new book out titled, "Messy Truth: How to Foster Community Without Sacrificing Conviction," is on a mission to help Christians find a balance between truth and love and to create "a sense of belonging for all people."
